
Tori Votino
Associate AttorneyTori Votino is an Associate Attorney at Filippi Law Firm, P.C., where she brings a dynamic blend of real-world experience, academic leadership, and a passion for advocacy. She is a licensed attorney in both California and Texas, with a deep-rooted passion for education, service, and advocacy. She holds a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where she was selected as the Dean’s Heckerling Fellow in Estate Planning during her final year of law school. She also earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute and was recognized for her excellence in appellate and trial advocacy, legal writing, and leadership. During law school, she was an award-winning member of multiple moot court and trial teams, a teaching assistant to international students, a mentor to incoming students, and an active contributor to both the Pepperdine Law Review and the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law.
Before joining private practice, Tori served as a professor and academic advisor at Pepperdine Law, where she taught legal research and writing, directed externships and pro bono programs, and supported students through the rigors of bar exam preparation. Her commitment to helping others grow professionally and personally continues to shape her work as an attorney.
Today, Tori focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration and litigation, and small business law. She is passionate about helping individuals and families protect what matters most—their loved ones and their legacies—through thoughtful, tailored legal strategies.
In addition to her legal expertise, Tori serves in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, where she provides legal support and advocacy in service to military personnel and their families.
Outside of her work, Tori brings a spirit of adventure and connection to everything she does. A lifelong learner and avid traveler, she has explored more than 30 countries and loves immersing herself in new cultures and communities. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her visiting a new place, trying new food, making new friends, or spending time with her family. She’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s in a courtroom or on a mountain trail.
With a blend of legal skill, academic experience, military service, and global perspective, Tori offers her clients both professionalism and heart. She has a heart for service and is deeply committed to protecting her clients’ legacies with care, clarity, and compassion. Her mission is to provide accessible, empowering, and meaningful service to every client she serves.
