Mike Bishop serves as Of Counsel at Filippi Law Firm, P.C., bringing a unique blend of legal insight, executive leadership, and advanced technical expertise. With a career spanning software development, corporate operations, and legal counsel, Mike provides the firm and its clients with strategic guidance on complex matters at the intersection of law, business, and technology.
Mike earned his J.D. and B.S. in Law from Northwestern California University School of Law and is a member of the California State Bar. He also holds degrees in Mathematics from the University of Washington and Computer Science from Pacific Lutheran University, along with advanced certifications in Six Sigma and process design.
Previously, Mike held senior executive roles in the software and technology sector, including as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Retail Pro International. He currently serves as Legal Counsel for Nayax, Ltd. Throughout his career, Mike has negotiated and managed contracts exceeding $100 million, handled mergers/acquisitions and corporate entity restructurings, led international software development teams, and served on multiple corporate boards.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mike achieved the rank of regular Captain and served as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He continues to give back as a professor of law at Northwestern California University School of Law and remains active in community and faith-based organizations.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys running, pretending like he’s a golfer (especially with his wife), and impersonating a BBQ pit-master.
